My boyfriend's brother is experiencing hair loss and he is only 24 years old. He is experienencing receding hair line. What can he do that's over the counter. He's already tried Rogaine, but that is not for the specific area he is losing hair at.

put aloe in your hair. you know that plant that looks like a cactus green long leaves? cut one off. make a little slice in the middle and peel it trying to keep as much as possible. then put it in the blender with some barely any water. then make sure that the mixture is liquid. and add it to your shampoo. it make your hair shinny and adds a lot of protien to you hair. it will also grow faster. if you husband uses the same shampoo as you feel free to also use it once the aloe is added it will make you hair soft and shiny.

get a mach 3 razor, or one of the new 4 bladed ones. (i was against the 4 bladed ones, thinking it was a gimic, until I got one in the mail and it is much better than my mach 3 turbo, which is one of the best razors to shave your head with)

girls love to rub on shaved heads... and your head becomes a very eroginous area if you shave it with a blade. ;)

Don't waste your time thinking about and plugs or surgery type methods, you'll find lots of guys who will say they wish would have just shaved their heads and now they can't because of the scars.

Rogain might work, if it does it will just slow it down... you won't find anything that will grow it back, or else there would be alot less guys in this world with bad combovers.

Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. What your boyfriend's brother is experiencing is not out of the ordinary. I tried Rogaine too, but it was hard to apply it every day and it dried out my scalp really bad. The only other medication proven to stop hair loss is Propecia. Propecia is a great hair loss drug; however it's not proven to regrow lost hair. Propecia is only proven to prevent your hair from falling out. It basically regulates the amount of DHT (the hormone that causes hair loss) your body put out. Lastly, there's the laser comb, but that's a really new product and I have not heard of any big success stories.

For me, it was too late to take Propecia. I was already bald when I decided to do something, so I went with a Bosley hair restoration procedure. Since receiving the hair transplantation in July I have blogged the experience at BattleAgainstBald.com. In addition to pictures and video of my procedure's results I blog a lot about hair loss and all the other methods available to correct it.
